On Wednesday the 20th of November, we celebrated the 10th anniversary of Kåre from our library unit. Kåre works as an area sales manager at Lyngoe Systems, and his focus is on the Danish and Norwegian markets. He has a degree in library science and has worked as a librarian at several Danish libraries – among these the Danish Royal Library and as assistant manager at Vejle Library. Fun fact: Kåre used to live in Norway for three years, where he worked as a library manager at Odda Library.
Kåre has always been forward-thinking, which is why he spent his free time on selling technology for libraries while working as a librarian. His interest in library technology led to his current position at Lyngsoe Systems, where he very much proved to be forward-thinking, as he was the first to be aware of the tender for a logistic management system for library materials (i.e. IMMS). Kåre was the first person at Lyngsoe who recognized the potential of IMMS, as he saw the potential in bringing together the different business units at Lyngsoe Systems to solve this task. Lyngsoe Systems won the tender and now libraries all over the world benefits from IMMS.
