Intelligent Material Management System (IMMS) Showcasing or how to get more circulation per item.
We are happy to introduce Mads Dyhr-Rasmussen, who is a librarian and coordinator of logistics at Naestved Library, Denmark as speaker together with product manager Helle Lauridsen. With an increasing percentage of material budgets getting spent on digital content, it is essential to maintain an attractive and fresh physical collection and extend the circulation of each copy. As libraries have learned from book stores, showcasing around particular subjects does work, but it can also be fairly labor-intensive as the exhibition shelves often get depleted fairly quickly and staff needs to spend time finding new items and filling up. Using Intelligent Material Management System™ (IMMS) most of the work becomes automatic and the library can set up as many and as varied exhibitions as they like. Join us on May 20th to learn from Naestved Library in Denmark what they do to steadily increase the use per item while keeping the material budget flat.
