OPTIMIZATION OF TIME-CONSUMING PROCESSES
The Lyngsoe Manual Image Capturing Station™ (MICS) lowers the cycle time of the import process by combining automatic arrival registration (IPS), data collection, customs- and VAT handling and sorting into one single process. The MICS is available with different levels of automation from manual registration stations to fully automated sorting solutions and with different data collection capabilities spanning from manual data entry to automatic OCR based on artificial intelligence.
INTEGRATION WITH EXISTING SYSTEMS
The MICS provides posts with an effective solution for international mail registration, declared value and address data collection, EDI and ITMATT integration, customs handling, notification generation, and process documentation. The MICS has interfacing capabilities for systems such as IPS (UPU), Customs, Notification, Track and Trace, EDI and more, for the exchange of barcodes, images, events, and data. The MICS offers integration with manual- and in-line scales, barcode scanners, imagers, dimensioning equipment, and printers. The MICS can integrate with existing address databases, video coding, and OCR solutions.
AUTOMATED SORTING
Besides fulfilling all the data capture needs of importing e-commerce items, the MICS solution also offers automated sorting as a cost-effective add-on function. The sorting machine has a modular construction which is easy to adapt to the individual needs of each customer. The system is scalable by design and can be expanded, adding more discharge points as the need changes over time.
ERGONOMIC WORK ENVIRONMENT
The MICS workstation offers staff an ergonomic and comfortable work environment by combining hands-free image capturing and automated barcode reading with an adjustable work height table. The MICS station can be used as a stand-alone manual workbench or as a preparation- and induction station for an automatic sorting machine.
