New Self-Return Kiosk Brings Broader Material Handling and Cohesive Design to the Lyngsoe Library Mate Range

The new Lyngsoe Library Mate™ 1300 handles a broader range of library materials and matches the Scandinavian design principles patrons already know from the Lyngsoe LibDeco™ self-check kiosk series.

Libraries hold more than just standard-sized books. Picture books, oversized titles, and other wide-format materials are a core part of most collections. Without a system that handles them, staff end up sorting those items manually.

The Library Mate 1300 addresses exactly this issue. With a wider tunnel that accommodates items up to 400 mm, it extends the Library Mate range to cover a broader range of materials, all within the same system.

Its Scandinavian, organic design follows the same aesthetic, so the kiosk where patrons return their materials matches the one where they borrow them. Library Mate 1300 runs on the same Library Mate software as the Lyngsoe Library Mate™ 1200, making integration into existing installations straightforward.

Already live

Library Mate 1300 is already in use at libraries in Denmark, Germany, Norway, and Finland, with partner installations underway across the world.
