IATA has released their Resolution 753/A4A Resolution 30.53 Implementation Guide, developed and written by members of the joint IATA/A4A Baggage Working Group. Lyngsoe Systems is very proud to have contributed to it with our enhanced expertise within data capture. The purpose of this guide is to advise airport and airlines possible solutions to meet the obligations for the upcoming resolution. Prevent and reduce baggage mishandling and increase passenger satisfaction

IATA (International Air Transport Association) has announced a new baggage tracking resolution: Resolution 753, for all members to implement by June 2018. The purpose of the resolution is to prevent and reduce baggage mishandling, increase passenger satisfaction, reduce baggage fraud, enable the detection of exceptions, speed up reconciliation, measure SLA compliance, and provide evidence to an automatic proration process. Resolution 753 makes it mandatory to track baggage when the bag is acquired from the passenger, delivered to the aircraft, at custody changes between carriers, and at delivery to the passenger.
