The Golden Trolley Award
The Golden Trolley Award, notably the most prestigious trophy awarded for Libraries with an Automated Materials Handling Machine, was founded in 2023 by Lyngsoe Systems. It is to be presented every year to the library (or Library branch) that has bestowed “The best name” for their Library Sorter that was installed the previous year.

PARTICIPATE IN THE 2023 GOLDEN TROLLEY AWARD
To participate in the 2023 Golden Trolley Award, you must have installed a Sort Mate in the US, the previous year. Please fill out the contact form with your contact information and the sorter’s name and upload an image of your sorter.

What is the Golden Trolley award
Each year upon presentation of the trophy to the championship library at the opening ceremony of the American Library Association Conference, a summer of celebration will begin for the winners. The library will enjoy its summer reading programs with a long-term visit of the Golden Trolley Award for all the patrons to see and share on social media. The library and its staff will get to keep and display the cup throughout the summer, only relinquishing it in time to renew its shine and luster for next year’s winner!
The Cup Structure is built to honor in perpetuity the creative and endearing names bestowed upon the hard-working sorters and library automation. It will stand almost 3 feet tall and weigh over 20 pounds.
We anticipate the Golden Trolley Award will travel to many states and live a long life celebrating the essence of Lyngsoe Systems Automated Material Handling excellence in manufacturing, performance, reputation, and overall design.
