A manual book drop allows patrons to return items in bulk onto a Lyngsoe BISR, whereafter singulation can begin.
In the rare case that a sorter goes out of service and staff is not present, a manual book drop can add the extra safety of service towards patrons.
It is rarely enough for the good seervice to rely on a book drop only, so we recommend to take a look at some of the inductions available to you, such as the exterior Library Mate 2100.
The BISR – Singulator allows patrons (or library staff) to return multiple items in one go after which they will be separate / singulated and checked properly in to the ILS.
Library cases
Automating returns with a book sorter brings a host of benefits to your library. With the latest generation in Automated Material Handling Systems for libraries, Sort Mate™ 2000, you will significantly improve circulation, while reducing cost and the need for physical handling of materials. Lyngsoe Systems’ Sort Mate™ sorter series is modular, allowing the same fast, accurate, and reliable quality to lift the performance in both a central sorting facility and in a branch library.
