”Height-adjustable staff inductions are also a clear advantage for our employees. They can easily adjust the induction to a suitable height so that there is no discomfort if you have to stand there for a little longer.”

“Ergonomics is the doctrine of human labour. We wanted to improve the working conditions for our staff and create a healthier working environment. Together with Lyngsoe Systems we have developed the Ergo Box that enables library staff to remove the media from the sorting system while standing upright as much as possible. As the box floor moves up and down automatically, materials can always be handled at a back-friendly height, which reduces the risk of back pain.”
Carolin Rohrssen, Bücherhallen Hamburg.

WORKING FOR
SMARTER LIBRARIES
We work for smarter libraries. Not to help them survive. But to make them thrive. By automating complexity, libraries are freed to focus on becoming once again the centre of words, thoughts, ideas and culture. Join us, and help lead the way.
Security
Your library’s collection is a valued community investment. To protect these library resources you can use the detection gates. The gates help you protect your print materials and digital media from unintended removal or theft. When someone walks between the gates with a library item that is not checked out properly an alarm will sound.
It is hard to believe we have managed to fit this much performance into something as thin as this. Our gates are especially designed to blend into your library whilst maintaining the open character of your building. With its sleek design (only 20mm width) and high performance, the fully transparent gates are an absolute must-have for every library.
Electromagnetic technology utilizes EM-labels hidden between the pages of books and is, therefore, an ideal choice for libraries where the security of the collection is of the highest priority. The EM700 with its clear Plexiglas® transparent material creates a sense of space, invaluable for congested entrances and is a very desirable design among architects.
The alarm is indicated by sound and light, which is built into the antennae. The duration of the alarm sound and light is adjustable. Modern technology helps prevent false alarms from, for example, mobile phones and the alarm is adjustable to suit the surroundings to achieve high levels of detection. Gates can also be connected to video surveillance and other external systems.
Library staff tools
Lyngsoe Library Clerk™ is one of the most powerful RFID handheld readers available for libraries. It combines excellent reading performance with a compact, convenient size while still managing to be one of the lightest devices of its kind.
The device is extremely ergonomic to use, allowing extended periods of comfortable use with one hand. The adjustable and flexible antenna further increases ergonomy by allowing items at different heights to be scanned with ease.
Choose from three staff workstation options. All handle RFID tagged material and make fast work of transmitting identification between item and the library management system. Issue, return, renew and program RFID tags seamlessly with either configuration.
This is a fixed, discrete and cost-efficient system. The reader is positioned beneath the staff desk, reducing clutter and the shielded antenna provides accurate reading area, minimizing false readings and other interference.
The simple table-top reader can handle multiple items simultaneously and can be transferred to other sites easily if needed. Either solution manages circulation or tagging and the user-friendly design enables fast and safe processing in either mode.
All the features of a shielded RFID staff workstation in a Red Dot award-winning sleek, modern and robust design.
The Lyngsoe AMHS™ (Automated Material Handling System) is a fully modular system, suitable for all kinds and sizes of libraries.
The AMHS is of modular construction, each
module being responsible for a specific function in the AMHS. Because of this, the AMHS can be customized to fit the needs of any library. The modularity makes installing the system in a library easy, even in existing facilities. The modular structure also enables the devices to be extended and reconfigured later, for example by adding sorting positions or inlets.
The Lyngsoe Libretto Compact™ has been specifically designed to meet the demanding needs of a modern library and to help the library staff free their resources for other tasks than sorting returned material. In addition to being extremely efficient, it is also cost-efficient, allowing even smaller libraries to gain the benefit of an automated sorter.
The design of the sorter is stylish and amazingly small, allowing installation in just about any library, regardless of available space.
